I've created a series of fragrance-based products where 50% of net profits will be going to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF), a US-based 501 c(3) organization that provides "free medical care to thousands of injured and ill children yearly whol ack local access to care within the local health care system."  At this time, the PCRF is one of the major humanitarian organizations in Palestine and is on the ground helping to assist those in need.

We have scented this charity wax melt with a "watermelon" fragrance (we have "watermelon" in quotes as we haven't been able to find a true watermelon scent, but this one reminds us of sweet watermelon gum).  Why watermelon?
 
Watermelon is a symbol of Palestine as it has all of the colors of the Palestinian flag in it (red, green, and black), is grown across Palestine, and has been used as an image of protest.
 
Further, the vessel for this candle was inspired by the possible national bird of Palestine, the Orange-tufted Sunbird.  The feathers of this bird are an inky black that remind us of an oil spill where it reflects purple and blue.
 
Last, the wick on this candle is made up of the colors of the flag - black, green, and red.
